2023 Call for Proposals


Now is a great time to begin developing your proposal for a workshop or concurrent session at the 2023 conference! We invite proposals addressing all areas relevant to institutional research, accreditation, assessment, and strategic planning, as well as proposals focused on community and two-year colleges, the impacts of new technology and innovative practices, or influences in leadership and management.

The following session tracks will be offered:

  1. Accreditation, Assessment, and Evaluation: issues related to regional accreditors, such as the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the Higher Learning Commission, and other national and professional accreditors, including critical evaluation of student success and of administrative and academic support functions.
  2. Best Practices in Reporting: examples of designs that improve efficiencies or practices for producing reports including internal reporting, mandated external reporting, and survey data.
  3. Data Analytics and Visualization: effective uses of tools to represent data and communicate outcomes to stakeholders, including interactive dashboards and other dynamic reports.
  4. Leadership and Management: navigating leadership roles in higher education, especially within the areas of Institutional Research, Effectiveness, Assessment, and Accreditation.
  5. Policy and Decision Support: effective and efficient collection of data to inform college and university decisions, data analyses, and dissemination to various stakeholders.
  6. Technology and Innovation: creative and innovative uses of technology, such as business analytics, to support and improve institutional research and effectiveness activities.

Important Dates:
  • Call for proposals opens in April
  • Deadline for pre- and post-conference workshop proposals is Wednesday, May 3
  • Deadline for concurrent sessions is Monday, June 5
